Collection of your personal information
 
Each time you contact us, you may provide us with personal information about yourself or others that we need to use to provide you with our product and services. This includes personal information that we collect when you make a purchase in-store or online, complete forms, applications or surveys, or when you otherwise specifically provide us with your personal information. We will only use or disclose your personal information for the primary purpose of our business or purposes related to our business activities.
 
You may provide personal information to us to receive information about products or services, to purchase such products and services, for warranty reasons, to receive newsletters and marketing / promotional material, to communicate with us over the phone, via e-mail or in social media, purchase a gift voucher or create a gift registry, apply for a job at Voyager Interiors, enter a business arrangement with Voyager Interiors or become involved in promotions or other initiatives commenced by us. 
 
This personal information may include details such as:

gender;
credit card details;
age and date of birth;
signature;
telephone number;
a photograph or video surveillance recording of you if you are physically present in our stores or showrooms; 
 
if you are a business wishing to participate in our Trade Programme or other associated business to business activity, we may collect information relating to your business trading history; or
 
if you are a candidate for employment, we may collect information relating to your employment history, working eligibility rights, suitability for the role you are applying for, and your referee details.
 
We require some of this information to provide services to you, as indicated by mandatory fields on some forms. For non-mandatory fields, the choice of how much information you provide to us is yours. We seek this information to process your request for information and provide that information to you, to improve the quality of our products and services and to assist you to determine which products and services best meet your needs.
 
We may also collect and store information about your visit to our website, including:
 
  • the location, date and time you accessed the website;
  • the internet address of the website from which you linked directly to the website; and
  • the pages you accessed while visiting the website;
  • device identification information when you use a computer, mobile phone, smart phone, tablet;
  • session cookies, your device IMEI number, IP address or MAC address.
 
This information does not in itself identify individuals and is used to measure the number of visitors to the website and how it was navigated. This information assists us to make the website more useful to you.
 
We also collect information from subscribers (persons registering their details with us through the website), website visitors, social media followers and customers for the purpose of improving our quality and effectiveness and to provide you with products, services and information. We welcome feedback from you about all aspects of our business. We store feedback that users and customers provide to us. This feedback is used to administer and refine our service. 
 
Sensitive information
We will only collect sensitive information about you with your consent.  Sensitive information is personal information that includes information relating to your racial or ethnic origin, political persuasion, memberships in trade or professional associations or trade unions, sexual preferences, criminal record, or health.
 
Unsolicited information
If you send us personal information that we have not requested, or we determine that the personal information you have provided to us is not reasonably necessary or directly related to any of our functions or activities, we may de-identify or delete this information without notifying you to protect your privacy. 
 
How we hold your personal information
We may hold your personal information in either electronic or hard copy form. If you provide information to us electronically we retain this information in our computer systems and databases.  This includes computer software programs, internet servers, and hosted internet solutions provided by third parties. If you provide information to us in hard copy (paper) this information is normally retained in our files and, in some instances a copy is made to our electronic files.
 
If we are unable to collect your personal information
 
If we are unable to collect your personal information, some or all of the following may occur:
 
  • we may be unable to provide products or services to you, to the requested standard or at all;
  • we may be unable to communicate with you to provide information about products and services that you have purchased from us, or may intend to purchase in the future;
  • we may be unable to tailor the content of our marketing communications to suit your preferences;
  • your experience when interacting with us may be delayed or not as efficient as you may expect; or
  • if you are a candidate for employment, we may not be able to process your application for a position of employment.
 
How we use your personal information

  • to deliver services you have requested (for example, responding to an enquiry for information concerning a product);
  • to create orders, transaction records, agreements for the sale of products or services, accounts, tax invoices or receipts;
  • provide your personal information to third parties that assist us in providing products and services you have requested, such as delivery service providers;
  • to carry out administration, marketing, planning, fraud and loss prevention activities, procurement, product and service development, quality control and research to improve the way we provide products and services to you;

  • if you are a candidate for employment, to assess your suitability for a position at Voyager Interiors;
  • if you apply for our trade programme or other associated business to business activity, to assess your application; or
  • to send you periodic marketing communication containing information on new products, special offers, and events which may interest you and competition results as required. If at any stage you decide that you do not wish to receive such material, please let us know by following the Opt-Out procedure below and we will ensure that your name is removed from our contact list.
 
Opt-Out procedure
 
In each direct marketing or promotional communication with you, we will advise you how to notify us if you do not wish to receive any further communications from us. If our correspondence is in the form of an e-mail or SMS, we will include simple instructions on how you can unsubscribe from our mailing list. In any event you can opt-out from receiving marketing or promotional material from us by e-mailing us at unsubscribe@voyagerinteriors.com.au or by contacting us by mail or telephone and asking to be removed from our mailing list.
 
Disclosure of your personal information
 
Your personal information may be disclosed in connection with related business activities to any of the following:
 
  • our employees, contractors or service providers, to the extent reasonably necessary to fulfil our obligations to you.  This may include internet service providers, IT systems administrators, mailing houses, couriers and payment processors;
  • our business advisors, including lawyers, accountants or other professional service providers, to the extent reasonably required; 
  • suppliers and other third parties with whom we have commercial relationships, for business related purposes;
  • if you are a candidate for an employment position involving a third party with whom we have an agreement, to that third party to assess your application; and
  • if required by law, to any person authorised by such law.  This may include the police service, ambulance service, or government departments or regulators within Australia in connection with law enforcement activities.
 
Overseas disclosure of personal information
  • We may disclose your personal information to third parties and service providers located overseas in connection with our business activities (for example, where warranty registration and claims require purchaser details to be provided to the original supplier)
  • We may disclose your personal information to overseas recipients who are located in places such as Italy, the United States of America, China and other countries or jurisdictions depending on the nature of the services those recipients provide to Voyager Interiors.
  • We take reasonable steps to ensure that the overseas recipients of your personal information do not breach the privacy obligations relating to your personal information.
  • Your personal information will not be shared, sold, rented or disclosed other than as described in this Privacy Policy.
 
Access to your personal information

Correction of your personal information
 
If you would like us to update or amend your personal information, please contact us and we will make the requested amendments.
 
We may ask you to verify your identity to ensure that personal information we hold is not improperly accessed.
 
Complaints
If you feel your privacy has been breached, please contact us using the contact information above setting out the circumstances and reasons for your complaint.
 
Our team members will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within two business days, and will normally respond to your request within 5 business days.  If your complaint is complicated or requires further investigation our response may take additional time to finalise. We will respond to you by your preferred contact method if you have indicated one and we will not charge a fee.
 
Security
 
We use all reasonable efforts to keep your personal information secure, accurate and up-to-date. This includes taking reasonable steps to ensure your personal information is protected from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
 
We use eWay and Paypal to provide a secure environment for the authorisation of online credit card transactions. Confidential information including card details collected for the purposes of online credit card transactions are encrypted using industry standard SSL 128-bit encryption technology and not stored within Voyager Interiors' computer systems and databases.
